The Paperwork of Parenting

When you become a parent, you’re going to need some diapers, a pacifier and as many naps as you can find.  You will also need PAPERWORK!

LOTS of paperwork.

If you plan on sending your child to school, to a doctor, camp or to a t-ball team, get ready for paperwork.

Throughout my years as a parent, here are some of the documents I’ve had to produce:

* Birth Certificate

* Social Security Card

* Medical Insurance Card

* Immunization Record

* Driver’s License

* School report cards and Transcripts

While you’re in the hospital having your baby, you will fill out paperwork and your baby’s paperwork will be sent to you. It’s a good idea to keep this paperwork in a file where it’s secure and you can get to it easily.   

So far, the only place I’ve found that doesn’t need paperwork…                                                                                                                                              is grandma’s house!
